This project involved a complete transformation of a sloped garden into a refined, level outdoor space. We began by excavating approximately 60 tonnes of soil using specialist machinery, carefully levelling the area before arranging for efficient removal via grab lorry. A solid foundation was then established with the installation of 10 tonnes of Type 1 MOT, forming a robust sub-base for both paving and artificial lawn areas.
To retain the newly formed levels, we installed a substantial timber sleeper retaining system around the perimeter, incorporating protective sheeting to enhance longevity, alongside a perforated drainage system surrounded by pea shingle to ensure effective water management. The borders were then finished with decorative stone for a clean, premium aesthetic.
A bespoke Venetian-style fence was constructed to the front of the garden, providing both safety and a contemporary architectural feature. The upper section was completed with approximately 70 square metres of high-quality artificial lawn, professionally finished with kiln-dried sand for durability and appearance.
To complement the space, we extended the existing patio by a further 10 square metres using buff Indian sandstone, before regrouting the entire paved area to create a seamless, cohesive finish throughout.
